GreenGate Partners advises redalpine on EUR 411 million financing round of Proxima Fusion
GreenGate Partners has advised redalpine on its participation in Proxima Fusion’s EUR 411 million financing round, the largest private financing round in the European fusion sector to date.
The round was led by XTX Ventures and East X Ventures, with participation from strategic and existing investors including Google, RWE, Balderton Capital, Cherry Ventures, Plural, Lightspeed, UVC Partners, DeepTech & Climate Fonds, Bayern Kapital and the EIC Fund.
Founded in 2023 as the first spin-out of the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, Proxima Fusion is developing commercial fusion power plants based on stellarator technology. The proceeds will be used to further advance the company’s technology roadmap and accelerate the path towards commercial fusion energy.
