Knowunity, the Berlin-based EdTech company behind a rapidly growing AI learning companion, has successfully raised €27 million in its Series B funding round.
Founded in 2020, Knowunity offers a personalized AI platform that enhances student learning by combining intelligent tutoring capabilities with student-generated content. The app is already used by over 20 million students across 15 countries and operates on a freemium model with a fast-scaling B2C subscription business. Its AI-driven approach aims to make learning more effective, engaging, and tailored to individual needs.
The new capital will be used to accelerate Knowunity’s international expansion and further develop its personalized AI study companion.
The round was led by European investor XAnge, with participation from PortfoLion Capital Partners, Isomer Capital, Project A, Redalpine, and Educapital, as well as notable business angels including Verena Pausder (Chair, German Startup Association) and Arthur K. (Co-Founder, Booking.com).
